We Are Different

Some of the best people I know:
Don't have the same skin color as me.
They practice a different religion.
They aren't the same gender.
We don't have the same sexual orientation.
We don't share similar political views.

I'm not blind to our differences.
I see them.
I appreciate them.
I value them.
There is only one thing I ask of you...
Don't dare let the world change you.
Don't listen when they say being different is anything but beautiful, inspiring and needed.
You are extraordinary.

I don't want to live in a world with a million me's.
I want to live in a world with a million different you's.
